I often find Yiruma’s music to portray beautiful visual stories, and “It’s Your Day” is a case in point.
As I hear the rhythmic, upbeat flow, I see a day passing by, with someone (You!) pausing at strategic times to breathe, appreciate, and reflect on each moment as it comes. As the piece, such a day begins softly with the first morning rays streaming through the window; brightening as the sun gradually ascends; softening once more into a Golden Hour; wrapping up in a first-brilliant, slowly-fading, sunset; and perhaps departing with the first stars winking on the horizon, as if in one final bow.
“It’s Your Day” - the sun marks the time, the interpreter makes the significance. So make of the time as you will - here is my version:
